The Three Books
November 21, 2021
Hello Readers,
As you know, this seasonal time of year is the best opportunity for authors, such as myself ?, to successfully promote and sell copies of our books. Writing books, publishing and marketing those books is a labor of love (and yes, time, angst, doubts, money, fears, and tears). So, I'd like to tell you a little bit about the three books I've published and why I've written them – And this all in the hopes that something about this informative confessional will touch a chord convincing you that you've found a gem (or gems) to gift and that will delight either yourself or someone else.
First, why would I even bother writing these books? Fiction books such as mysteries, cozies, romance, thrillers, even fantasies are book genres that seem to magnetize the buying eyes of readers. And I do have a couple manuscripts started in one of thos e genres but which I'd set aside for awhile to birth these three first.
Each of these three non-fiction books, each in their own unique way, journey readers into landscapes of Spirit, seeding potentials of possibilities about life beyond the limitation of what can be seen with mere physical eyes, beyond what we may have been taught all our lives to be hard-and-fast. Each of these books offer a sense of something existing beyond the mere physicality of our lives, seeding new perspectives, stirring adventuresome emotions. Each provide readers prompts of curiousity, sensory awareness, perhaps even an occasion of challenge or disbelief that none-the-less carries them forward reading.
How often have you done something believing you know all the what's and how's and why's and made your plans only to realize there was something bigger calling for your attention? So, yeah, all that is why first these books before any others. These books are meant for you.
Now, a bit about each book:
The Allegiance of Jesus: Why is Peace Misunderstood? is newly release, just published this month of November. This inspirational book is an antidote to the seeming global, community and personal disarray affecting people's thoughts and emotions these days. It asserts that peace is active, not passive; that the energy of peace is powerful, and that unleashing the power of peace transforms our lives and the world. Ultimately, The Allegiance of Jesus is meant to inspire you to create life anew by living the wisdom and power encoded within your own soul. Read this book and feel a sense of destiny stir… (Available on amazon.com in paperback, kindle, and KU)
My inspirational poetry book, Lying in the Arms of God: Poems of a Sacred Romance entices. These poems imagine a love that transcends lifetimes, a quest of one soul to feel again the passion and embrace, to know again its ultimate Love…Just imagine a woman beginning to imagine how the physical touch of God's embrace will feel upon her own flesh. Pressed between these sheets, the poetry of such whispered moments reflect and acknowledge a sacred romance and God's greater desire for personal intimacy with each person willing to become other than we have been hitherto. (Available on amazon.com in paperback, Kindle, and KU)
India travel memoir, Moonlight on the Ganga, my first book, came to me like magic, unbidden yet suddenly present in the sparkle of a full moon's diamond-like lights being reflected on the spiking tide of a swiftly running pre-dawn Ganges River in Rishikesh, India. Told in exquisite vignettes, readers walk beside me as each chapter shares some particular, what I call, momentous occurrence in meetings with lepers, wounded monkeys, swamis, stalkers, pilgrims, holy cows, shopkeepers, a man doing laundry on a rock and more. I'd not wanted to go to India. At the time, I was a hard-headed business minded "realist" who had recently left a procurement management career to hone a writing career and had little money for such a venture. Yet, I eventually said "yes" to an offer (an offer I'd rejected several times prior!) . So, enjoy these tales of spirit that are seemingly channeled by that sacred river. (Please order the more recent edition released by Open Road - Available on amazon.com in paperback, Kindle and KU; or through www.BN.com in paperback and Nook, or through Kobo, ibooks and more)
Friends, writing, the bringing a bit of the new, a bit of wonder and happiness to people is what I do. I'd like to share that with you, so I hope, as a result of this book tour, you will go to www.amazon.com , check out my books and make a purchase, especially during this holiday time. Books are great gifts for any occasion!
Thank you. I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
